What?! No keyboard with that eMac? Well, then just throw the thing in the dumpster.

Congratulations on your instant Mac "coolection." I guess that I will have to live vicariously through your conquests.

BTW, I woulda snarfed the second Cube, but then you are a better person than I.

Cheers,

Hey - could you pick up that other cube for me? I think this is near NY, so I can't go there myself, but I'd appreciate it if you could. I'd pay you for the shipping, etc.

Great job on the eMac! (Bashes head on keyboard, splits open and blood gushes everywhere

I wont be able to go back until next week...

I'm GOING TO LINUXWORLD 2003 in NYC... anyone else gonna be there?

But if the cube is still there (which I doubt) I'll pick it up and sell it to you.

Who said anything about an address? Anyhow, if you can find out where the heck this place is, then it's yours. I was just asking iApple, because I don't know where it is and he does.

Hmmm.. If iApple posts the address of the place and jt and The Lighting Stalker go after that cube, the results could be interesting.

I'm envisioning a headline in tomorrow's paper about a bizzare case of "Cube Rage" in NYC. Or maybe the headline will be "Riot Different"

May the best 68kMLA member win!

. . . an address for the place that's selling these cheap macs!

I'm heading downtown in a few minutes, click my userid to email me with the name of the store a/o location please, iApple!

The chance at checking this place out is worth the possibility of Netscape taking my system down again, so I logged on with my real account! (the alcoa alter-ego runs iCab!)

YO! ~coxy! The ads are gone, maybe I can return full time again!

You should have pity on me anyway. After all, my fastest Mac is a 7600/120 with a 225 Mhz 604 processor from a 9600 in it. It's only got 80 Mb of RAM for god sakes! I'm lucky to have 9.2.2 running on it at all.

Let's get some confirmation of the veracity of the original claims before doing that tho, there's no valid email addy for iApple according to the original thread, IIRC.

Yeah. This thread is kind of suspicious. He's a new member, so how do we know if he's telling the truth. We don't even know if he is a he. We don't even know if he's human. For all we know he's a dual G4 1.2 that's become self-aware and has decided to try and impress us with phony conuqests.

1st of all I did post my email address before in another forum... but I edited it out because I dont feel like recieving spam.

2nd I NEVER said the place was in NYC, I just said I'm going to LINUXWORLD 2003 at the Javits center.... although I'm not sure if I'll still be going...

3rd... The place is actually affiliated with my university... and being that my good friend/ex-classmate (since I graduated) works there... I help him with old notes, books, papers, exams.. he helps with giving me great deals on macs...

Lastly, I have the 2nd cube reserved for me, and I'll be picking it up later this week. (and probably some other stuff too ;) )
I'm not sure who has dibs... Alcoa or Lightning stalker?

Hey! I just shopped at the mystery store, too! I found it by walking around every university in the universe. I got one of every Apple made model for @$200 total. I'm super cool now.
I'll have a digital photo posted as proof for you soon! But for now, just got to www.everymac.com look at every entry and know that it is mine.

Well, if my posts aren't welcome, then I'll stop posting.

Thanks for the good times.

Goodbye... goodbye forever...

Ok since I said this is my last post, I'll just edit here.
I'd rather not give out the location of the place, I dont think my friend would appreciate a mob asking about macs... not to mention to get into the building you have to show that you're a current student with valid ID, fac ID, staff ID, or alumni....

Hey iApple -

alcoa was hoping that you would send him the location of the place so he could go and pick it up himself, however I was the first to request it from you, so as I see it, I've got dibs. I don't know what alcoa would have to say about this. He'd probably throw a fit or something.

Also, as I said before, I'd be willing to pay you for shipping, etc, but I'm not sure I can trust you. I've been screwed online before, so do you have an eBay account or something with some positive feedback? All this seems a little too good to be true, so I hope you can understand. Please keep me posted.

I should be banned? Glad you think so.
I'm just saying this all seems a bit needing of proof.

You yourself have doubts posted above.

I think, though, the fact that iApple now says he's going to quit posting here just proves Eft37 more right. If iApple was telling the truth, wouldn't he try and defend himself? Instead, he just decides to move on. The whole thing reeks of scam!

I say to iApple:

If you're telling the truth, then for gods sake, defend it! If you don't respond to this post, then it just proves to us that you're a liar.

Let this be a leeson learned regarding civility as it pertains to macs if that makes sense. Now let's all "bust" out the 68k macs before you all bust each other up over a anti-luddite (look it up) protest. BTW, I joined today, great site!
