Penguin, I uploaded Photoshop 4 (many thanks, Dana!) to the server, however you may want to rename it to match the other versions and of course put it in the right place. Tonight I'm going to try to get around to uploading all of the 60+ 68k games I have that aren't already up there.

If the game is already on the Macintosh Garden, uploading it would seem kind of silly.

Oh yeah I forgot, I should cross-reference them with the Garden. I'm positive that some of them aren't there, though.

How do I check the server out? Never got thru to ours, but the links to other sites have always worked? Links in this thread come up nada! Bad timing for my (repeated) attempts, wron sys config, user error or loose nut on the keyboard?

sys config:
G-4/466 OS9.1
Netscape 4.73/Verizon DSL
Error Message:
Netscape's network connection was refused by......

You need to use Hotline client, not Netscape. For PPC's, use Hotline Client 1.8.5, for 68k's use Client 1.5.5.

nopro, *some folks think i'm cryp.........*
loose nut on the keyboard=idiot operator=abuser as opposed to a user willing to learn enough to........ PEBMK would appear to refer to symptoms as reported by abusers (unintelligible, meaningless, pointless babble) to techs for troubleshooting purposes. LNOTK would therefore be the idiot making the report.

Yeah, you're right!

PEBMK = Observation of situation by troubleshootist.

LNOTK = Observation of situation by troubleshootee.

Ok, all those big worded acronyms have made my insignificant brain explode.....

Moving along, the server has to be shut down at 7:00 a.m. EST. We are getting new circuit breaker boxes for the house and no power for a day means no server for a day. Just FYI.

That is strange TiMac, besides yesterday the server has been fine. Let me know if the problem persists and I can see waht I can do.

I want to thank whoever uploaded Premiere 4.2!!!! I've been searching for it on LimeWire (etc.) for months. Thank you!!!!! It's one of the only versions that the PCI Video capture card in my 7500 is supported with, plus, it's the newest 68k version (obviously).

That makes sense, marchie! the way cine put, i thought is was a support tech's lament regarding the idiotic (meaningless babble) way the problem in the chair "describes" the computer's symptoms for diagnostic purposes, which makes sense to me also. must be a corollary........
