Sorry Burncycle but that Zip won't work for you, and boredomconquersall is giving me a killer deal for his Mp3 CD player, so thanks anyway, Wonko I think wanted next dibs on it.

Btw, I was woundering would you trade your TiBook for $700 and a iMac:

iMac G3 400 mhz, DVD, Mac OS X 10.2, 128 RAM. Firewire, USB, VGA, and a lot of Adobe software and such.

Let me know...

Jeremy

Introduced in May 1994, the PowerBook 520 was the first PowerBook with '040 power. A trackpad replaced the rolling ball in older PowerBooks, and the 520 had a built-in microphone and stereo speaker. The 520 was priced at $2,270 with an passive-matrix 4-bit grayscale screen, and the 520c, with a dual-scan 256-color screen (the 520c was the first PowerBook to include one), cost $2,900.

woah looks like you got 2,830$ off this was a nice computer for it' s time you should keep it, the 520c should run all old programs, though no fpu I keep 1 old 68k in service along with my 2 others for backup. And I have a flat panel Imac. So I say keep 1 of the comps like the 520c.

I think my sister wants the CD player, she will email you if she decides to buy it. Macmall sells Powerbook 1xx-series batteries (5xx batteries too) so that 170 looks pretty good. How does $25 sound?

you retard! none of that stuff is worth more than 20$ (maybe the PB 520C is worth 30) and just beause you refuse to face the facts that ur not gonna get most of your initial investment back, doesnt mean everyone else should have to dip into their pockets. now, lower your price, or you will never sell it, or you could just be a complete --- and throw them all in the trash. I just don't care anymore! if you wanna be a -----, then go ahead!

Thnx

****** Ok, Everythings going to ebay....*******

The only things I was gonna trash is the 170... useless and the N64.... also useless...

Everything else i have left is going on ebay... AND I DONT GIVE a rats-Butt about "liberating" stuff, I thought maybe someone would want it for the price I asked but if not THEN DONT BUY IT.... THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'm GONNA REPLY HERE AND CONTRIBUTE TO THIS SPECIFIC THREAD.

Dude this guy needs a lesson on wheeling and dealing. I emailed him woundering if he could give me his eBay auction name so I could bid on some of his stuff and I asked if I paid shipping if he would ship me the N64 since it was going in the trash, I know a my nephews who would just die to have one of these and this was his repsonse...

quote:
Sorry,

I'm not gonna go through the trouble of shipping stuff, recieving payment, etc etc...  for no money.... It's in the dumpster, just easier for me....

You can do a search for the items on ebay....

You need to take your hand away from your wallet and learn that the price you pay isn't always the price you can sell things for, learn to deal, not steal.

either develop a rodents rump worth of interest in liberations or grow a thicker skin.

i just checked out the only two "contributions" you've made other than "this particular thread" and i'm much less than impressed with your attitude.

one post was a list of all your 68k Macs in a "Liberations Thread" as for sale, which was nothing more than an egregious banner ad/SPAM post flogging this thread, IMHO.

the only other post was an attempt at bargaining for a better price than that offered by another member. if you expect nobody to question your asking prices or to bargain with you:

do unto others as you would have them do unto you . . . or put up and shut up when it comes to the attitude!

i have no problem with anything but the inconsistencies and attitudes displayed, apologies are in order from yourself as well as boredom who was also out of line in this instance, IMHO.

wow, i missed out on all this post. Just read it.

I'm a pack rat (I SAVE EVERYTHING) and I also can find I use for something be that for myself or somebody else, but I NEVER throw any working gizmo away. Just think of all the places you could donate that pb and n64 (which is nothing remotely close to useless, perfect dark.... and it's a tax write off). eh, oh well back to max payne i go...

I can see both sides, and what LeeMac said basically covers it. Some people still want too much $$ for their old equipment, but that doesn't mean you have to buy it - and whats the point in getting worked up about it anyway? Some people just don't know it's real worth, or how to go about selling it... but I got over it real fast :-)

This topic is closed! For the record I don't agree with the prices or the way in which Burncycle presented his items in this thread but again it is his right to sell his stuff any way that he sees fit! Even if it does not profit him!
