Hello all,I've just signed on as a Mac Liberation Volenteer! I'm addicted to Macs, beige Macs, the ones with a rainbow apple you know. I've spend too much money and time on my little hobby during the last 8 years but it has been a great time with a lot of fun and many new Mac-friends. In that aspect I'm lucky because without them, I guess that there would be no collection at all or at least not a collection of this size and it's still growing... Until now I've used almost every space at home in order to store the collection but within a few days I will have access to a place where I can set up a museum! I'm happy but my wife is happier and also one of my boys who don't have to share his room with 66 Macintosh "fellows" any more. I got most 68 k Macs but I find it very hard to find the missing items, but somewhere they are waiting for me:-) My friends that are still to be converted can't understand my obsession and I can see the question marks swirwling around their heads when I declare that I'm not going to sell any Macs, just collecting them for fun. My collection: Apple ][+ (clone) Lisa II • (128 k missing) 512 k Plus (2) • (512 ke missing) SE SE Fdhd (2) one with Dual Floppy SE/30 (3) one with Ethernet Classic (2) Classic II (2) Color Classic (2) • (CCL II missing, has never been sold in Sweden) II (2) IIx (2) IIfx IIcx (3) IIci (2) one is actually a cx with a ci motherboard IIsi (3) IIvi IIvx (2) LC (3) one with Dual Floppy LC II (2) Performa 400 LC III (3) different Floppy openings Performa 460 LC 475 LC 575 (None of the LC 5xx has been sold in Sweden to my knowledge) C 610 C 650 C 660 AV • (Q 605 missing, has never been sold in Sweden) Q 610 (2) one with 50Mhz acc card. Quite impressive, our Swedish comrade. Almost puts my collection of 40 Macs to shame... almost. You should take pictures of your Reid Mac clone, and send it to our friends at AppleFritter. They would be quite interested because there is no listing of that clone maker on EveryMac.com. And hopefully if things go right, I'll have 8 more Macs within the next few weeks. ------------------ Captain Z - Mobile Operations Commander 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 23 68K Macs Liberated Visit Captain Z's Starbase of EV Stuff |

I believe the Reid is comparable with the Motorola Starmax 5500/200 as it got the same Tanzania II mobo.Maybe I can use the QT150 and take a picture though the low resolution will be an disadvantage. Hm, I've to update my Homepage with some pictures but playing with all the Macs doesn't give so much spare time LeifC +70 68k Macs rescued "Beige is beautiful" |
