Tell me if it's fixed on your computer. It's fine here.

Yes, looks better.

Sorry if I missed any messages, but I had to be offline today, my computer was covered with a drop cloth to prevent dust from getting in. My kitchen is being renovated, and they were sanding today.

At least I wasn't missing my music. I got a brand new iPod last night! This thing works great!

Thanks for modding me, but I didn't get the War Room password by mail yet.

Well, I don't feel so bad when even some of the moderators can't get in.
Interesting colon-p smilie, by the way. He looks like he's trying to lick his entire chin.

Hey coxy , can I be the mod for the Newton Forum? I was the one who proposed the idea and I don't think anyone else has claimed it yet.

thanks

I own a MP 120. I use it every day. I read a ton about Newtons so even the Newtons that I have never used I am fairly knowledgeable about.I also have the amount of spare time to look up answers to questions that I don't know. I also use a nice old Performa 200 to synch it to. None of that PPC Stuff .

Hey all,
just thought to stop by and say hi.
Wow alot of moderators in this forums.
I am not exactly a 68K libarator. (no extra cash available )
I do own an LCIII though. It was my first mac ever. I absolutely love it. It has served me well until a year ago when I bought the G4 i am currently using. I recently added a 68882 FPU to it and an extra 256kb vram. I also tried to install an extra 32mb of ram i got from ebay but it wouldn't take it. (gives me the incopatible chimes at startup)
That computer is currently being used by my 3year old niece. She is already proficient in KidPix2.

btw, it's a nice set of emoticons you got there.

Sounds like the RAM is too slow. Try finding an 80ns or faster chip. The one you were sold was probably a 100ns thing, which is too slow for the LC III.

Actualy it might be too fast. It's a 60ns memory module.

Here are the specs
8x32-60
5.0v FPM
Hitachi
On the individual chips it says:
ASBINUSA C003
9802 6QQ
HM5116400S6

Actually...i do belive the RAM ceiling for the LC II (and the ColorClassic for that matter) is 10 mb. I think it had something to do with the datapath...

1) He said it was an LC III
2) RAM ceilings on the LC II and CC were 12 megs. (and see 10 of it)
3) It doesn't matter if the RAM is too fast, only if it's too slow.

Maybe we should change "starting member" to "not the MAF mod" to eliminate any confusion.

Dude, for the newton forums talk to Eft37, he seems to know quite a bit and if it doesn't work out. I could fill in. Whatever floats your boat, as they say.
