I've been planning to put together a late model 68K Mac system, using a "newer" operating system than System 8. However, as I'm planning, I'm having a hard time finding one that has a usable GUI. As far as I can tell, NetBSD has a greyscale X windows set-up, and I honestly can't tell where we are with Linux. All screenshots that I can find are command line. I guess I'm a little surprised. I remember linux on my 486 seemed more developed in the late 90's. What is the status of operating systems for 68030 /68040?
