Woo! $5 each. Boxed copy of Stuffit Deluxe for System 7 (very handy), and a Sonic Systems microPrint/microBridge TCP/IP ethernet to AppleTalk bridge. :D

I also found shrink wrapped software for the Caiman Gatorbox and the Kinetics FastPath Bridge which got me scrounging around for the two hardware boxes, but I couldn't find them. :( But my efforts turned up the Sonic Systems box, so I lucked out. :)

Anyone have pictures of the Gatorbox and/or the FastPath Bridge? I'm thinking of going back down there Monday to rummage again, see if I can't find them. I don't know what they look like.

D00d... sounds like you hit the ultra-LocalTalk score! Very cool. I wish I had stores around here with such old tech to rummage through.

Most of the FastPath boxes look pretty much the same, metal box with purplish-red front. And a few different options for ethernet connections on back. There was a rack version also which looked different.

I don't have pictures of FastPath or Gatorbox but I am sure you can see them in a Google image search.

If you can archive that software for old Mac heads we would be grateful, but congrats on your find regardless.

I'll grab the software after work today and take another look through the piles o' crap. Forgot about Google image search. I think I know what I'm looking for. I was looking through all the rackmount equipment, I didn't realize they were so small. There are other smaller boxes filled miscellaneous modems, switches, and routers.

I also found a new in box "Home Net" switch. It had RJ-11 ports and a RJ-45 uplink. The manual was very scant. Advertised "1 Mbps Home Net" switch. I'm gonna look on Google, see if I can't find any info. I'm hoping it does MacIP or something, or at the very least, if I can use it as an AppleTalk switch. That'd be awesome.

OK, got the software. It says "GatorPrint" on the side and back with "Seamless UNIX-to-AppleTalk printing for the GatorBox." On the front it says, "GatorSoftware for the GatorStar GX" with "AppleTalk and TCP/IP Routing" and "Macintosh/UNIX Printer." Opening it up says version 2.2 of the software.

I also got the Kinetics FastPath software, which is actually a binder. Inside is a FastPath 4 Gateway installation guide, Revision A, as well as a Kinetics LAN Ranger User Guide, Revision B. There are two packets of software, one says REV: A and the other REV: C. I haven't opened them, they're the old paper User License Agreement packets.

If anyone would like copies of the software, I'll make them available. I also have the microBridge TCP/IP software from the box I got on Saturday.

On top of this, I came across a two port DVI/USB KVM switch. :D Looked new. $7 for the whole lot. :)

Unfortunately a second rummage the equipment did not turn up the boxes. It is possible it's still in the storage area being processed. I'll check again in a few weeks, or I'll ask the owner if he comes by it.

I would realy like to have copy's (images) of the software you have found. Sometimes software is even more rare then the devices!

That's what I always liked about the Mac Driver Museum.

I once had the first user contribution.....
