Are you referring to the L2 slot G3? What do you mean by toggle-able? You mean you want to be able to switch between using the G3 and the original cache? Why? The G3 upgrade has a larger cache onboard than the original cache SIMM.

I meant is it toggle-able between the G3 and the 603 processors, not caches.

And the answer AFAIK is no - the only "toggle" available is to pull the upgrade, unless you get really fancy with some kind of dual socket/multi-pole switch kludge

Does this actually work in a 6400? I've heard it mooted but never actually read a success story.

The Crescendo/7200 works in a 7500! DIMMs and all. It's all operative. Graphics appear to be accelerated too.

All RAM is recognized.
I have both a 6400 and a 6500 I can test it on.

Unfortunately the thread peters out about there - looks like Mike never completed that test - hint hint Mike.

But given the card works in at least one other off-label machine, I'd say why not?
