Well, I think I've mentioned this in IRC a few times, and to a few people individually, but I've decided to go ahead and post about it here.
The machine in question is a ThinkPad X24, with a 1.13GHz Pentium III 256mb (now upgraded to 384) of memory, and a 30gb hard disk. Mine hasn't got the firewire, nor is the original minipci wireless card installed to my knowledge, but the wpc54g that I was using in the pismo before is working just great.
The great thing about this machine is just how tiny it really is. It is so small that I'm kind of terrified of what'll happen to it in my backpack, so I've just been carrying it around. Although, if I separate it into the back part of the backpack, it's been doing fine.
Another place it fits is a manila envelope.
I'm running Windows XP and Office'07 on it, and some day I intend to upgrade the ram a bit more, but for now it's just fine. It's not the fastest ever, but as an every day hauler it's amazing, because it doesn't feel like something I'm hauling, just like something I happen to be carrying or taking with me.
