Swapmeet Grabs

For the first time ever, I went to an electronic swap meet. There were some people selling ham radios, computers, parts etc. I tried to nab up what I could. Took $40 with me, and this is what I got:

$3-Genuine Apple USB extension cord (newer style with boxy edges) Like new

$4-Blueberry iMac G3 keyboard (bought to use as a spare for any Mac, and was all lonely in a box with white Pro Keyboards and mice) Used

$4-Pro Mouse (later style that was just branded "Mouse", was in same box as Blueberry Keyboard) Used

$3-Mighty Mouse (ball works) Used

$5-Gen 1 Wireless Keyboard (Looks like later rev. of Pro Keyboard) Used

$3-Speck Candyshell case for iPhone 5(white plastic/dark grey rubber, slight manufacture defect near volume buttons) Like New

And the big find (with story of course!)

There was this recycling company out there with a BUNCH of computer parts, hard drives, switches, RAM, almost anything one could hope for. They also had 2 moving boxes full of junk laptops. I was about to pass them up, when out of the corner of my eye I spot something blue. I moved a couple laptops that were on top and around it to discover...

An iBook G3 Clamshell!!

Original blueberry model, as it has no Firewire. The outside is in AMAZING shape (except the bottom, but thats to be expected) I was about to offer $30, until I opened the lid. The LCD is cracked. Horribly. I kept asking myself if I should take it. I went from yes, no, maybe, I don't know. Offered $10, guy stayed firm at $15. I was only halfway threw looking. I put it back and continued looking. I decided to look once more before I left, and saw it still sitting there, where I left it. I decided to take it. Offered $12, guy agreed to $13, and bought it. It boots into an OS just fine (judging by the sound effects, I'm guessing OS 9). It also had paperwork from Apple in the lid, saying somethings were replaced, but were replaced with Tangerine parts. Weird.

Also saw a MacBook Pro (original model with PB Al looking body) for $400, PowerBook Al for $350, and a Power Mac G4 DA with original keyboard and mouse, $40. I just wanted the keyboard and mouse, but the guy wouldn't sell them separately. Had upgraded CPU, RAM, 2 HDDs. I was thinking about it, but I remembered that A) I didn't have space and B) I had only brought $40 and the guy was firm on $40.
