I picked up a 17" Apple Studio Display, and a Power Mac G5 from a music school about a week ago.
- The CRT monitor works great. I have it connected to my 68k PowerBook. The color quality is great, unmatched by any display I have ever used. :b&w:
- The Power Mac G5 needs some parts and repair. It has no RAM, no HDD, no video card, no disk drive, and it's missing the cable that attaches the front board with the USB ports and power button. I already have a disk drive and video card for it, but I'll need to buy the cable, RAM, and HDD on eBay (roughly $50 total). The problem is that the liquid cooling unit leaked. Fortunately, it did not damage the processor or motherboard, but I will need to either repair or replace the liquid cooling unit, so that it does not leak further.
If anyone knows where I can find a replacement G5 liquid cooling unit (the delphi model), please let me know. Otherwise I will have my Mac repair guy try and fix the leak its self.
