Was there ever a Castlevania type game for the Mac ?

Castlevania is a lot different.. The only way they are similar is the theme, but that's not saying much.

I don't think so - you'll have to download an emulator if you want to play some Castlevania on the Mac.

I have done this, BTW. Castlevania - Symphony of the Night has been played many times on my old iBook and DA G4. And in case you're wondering, it's quite possibly one of the best games ever made.
