Should i liberate Powermac G5 dualcore 2Ghz?

I have my eye on Powermac G5 Dualcore 2Ghz with 3.5GB RAM etc. But wondering, should i bother to get it to replace (have an space issue with "collection") the 1.8Ghz single CPU model? It's not free, but asking price is not that high. The 1.8Ghz is quite slow on anything, so would the dualcore be worth the upgrade?

Depends what you can sell the old system for and what the new one costs. Value in buying something depends mostly on the function it will be used for and money spent (varies greatly among people).

The dual G5 is a much faster machine: faster processor speed, faster bus, and with two processors and more Ram slots, if i have the model right. The single processor G5 tower is not its equal, not even remotely. The single would make a good web server or the like, but in the land of the G5, it would be best to move up higher.

Indeed, already the G5 doesn't have much of use due lack of HD-installation points :b&w: So basicly i don't use the G5 at the time for anything, due lack of stock graphics card (have 9800 Pro XT but it fails now to give signal). The asking price for the DC 2Ghz was 150€.
