I needed a SE/30 logicboard.
I spotted a SE/30 with no video selling for next to nothing on a local auction site. I won the auction, and bought it for approximately $5 delivered to my home. Good deal.
Except I was quite disappointed when I saw that what the guy advertised as a SE/30 was indeed a SE FDHD. So that's my fourth SE, and still no working SE/30!
It had no video, but seemed to otherwise boot fine. So I quickly switched analog-boards with my dead SE/30 donor, and in 10 minutes I had a perfectly working SE FDHD in great shape, with 4 Mb of Ram and a 200 Mb Hard disk. It's slightly yellowed, but so slightly it's more like a light beige, and the color remained uniform on all sides of the machines. So all-in-all, it's not a bad conquest!
