SCSI hard drive won't start due to low voltages (Color Classic)

I have a working scsi hard drive. It has been tested to work fine with my Color Classic when booting from an external scsi chasis box with independent power source.

The problem comes when I fit it back into my CC internally. Now, it won't boot and the hard drive doesn't spin. Turns out the voltages from the internal connector are merely 10.6V and 4.4V. As my hard drive has been jumper set to spin on power. It shows that the voltages are too low.

So, my question is what to look at next? The CC otherwise works fine. The motherboard hasn't been recapped but I don't want to touch it now if the issue is more with the power supply or analog board.

Both should be recapped as soon as possible! Otherwise you can get damages at both,
In your case I would start with the AB.

Agree. But recapping the analog board would be a taxing job which I'm not ready for yet. I'm trying my luck that someone has came across a similar one before and may have found out roughly which component(s) to replace or twist.

The caps in the ABs in those machines were starting to go towards the end of their original life. By now, they're probably only capacitors at all through a technicality. I'd personally probably follow the guide on recapamac.au because those have been pretty good for me so far. But yes, you're going to need desoldering braid and patience, or you're going to get someone else to have desoldering braid and patience for you, I'm afraid.
