For those of you retro challenge folk who don't frequent the RetroBBS, it is going down this weekend and will not be coming back. At least it won't be coming back with Lorance as sysop. Lorance is no longer able to continue maintaining the BBS, and the torch is being passed. For the moment, if you wish to do some retrochallenge things on a BBS you should head to Luddite's Cave- telnet to LD8.org, port 23. Luddite has graciously opened a retrochallenge channel for us to use on his own BBS. He has offered to take the last RetroBBS backup archive and attempt to resuscitate the BBS, but for now lorance.no-ip.org is going away. If you have used the BBS in the past I would suggest you thank Lorance for all the hard work and dedication he has put into maintaining and operating it for as long as he has.
