Quicktime Video Editing: Classic Mac OS

I'm looking for some software that will allow me to edit some Quicktime videos that I have. The caveat being that the software must run in Mac OS 8.6. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What versions of QT are in 8.6? I remember wayyy back when you could edit a QT movie in QT without it being "pro"...

I'm using Quicktime 6.0.3. I was actually kind of looking for something other than Quicktime though. I have Strata Videoshop which was on a MacFormat CD. I was just wondering what else was available.

I'm partial to version 2.5.1, myself. It has many features that later became part of the "pro" versions. It runs fine under 8.6 on my 3400c. It might be worth a try, although you might run into difficulty if your movies use modern codecs.

Finding it on the web may be a bit of an exercise in digital archeology, but copies are definitely out there...

I probably have it on one or more of my various Apple Service Source CDs. If not, I'm almost positive I have it on a MacFormat or MacAddict CD somewhere. Problem is that I do have a need for support of relatively recent compression/decompression schemes. So that would pretty much preclude me from resorting to an earlier version of Quicktime. Of course, I suppose I could have multiple installs of Quicktime on my machine and use Extension Manager or some other method of switching between the two.

I was looking at Adobe Premiere 5.0, but the version I have has apparently expired. Does anyone know how or why it may have expired? Or, how to get around the expiration? Premiere 6.0 requires Mac OS 9.0.4 or higher. And I'm not terribly keen on upgrading to Mac OS 9.
