My Quantum 80S Conundrum

Seven Quantum hard drives sitting in a row,
None are working but they all show.

SCSI Probe, Lido, FWB all say they're there,
But none can be formatted, partitioned or shared.

Stiction, black gunk, YouTube says to pull the lid,
But be very careful cause you can't undo the bad things you did.

Wiggle the head, ISO clean or tape the gunk?
I'm not sure if it's worth it or just easier to junk...

I might just have a worthwhile fix.

There are some who suggest a small drop is in order,
I can't say of that I am a supporter,

All these steps feel like a bit of delay,
there are, alas, few ways to stop Quantum decay.

Maybe its time to to get a newer device,
There are many to choose from, they are quite nice.

For spinning iron will surely turn to rust,
On those I would never commit data I'd trust!
