PowerMacs and 68k PowerBooks

Picked up a stash of Mac gear yesterday, here is a rundown:

- PowerMac 8600, looks complete, "purple" G3 233MHz upgrade as well as the original CPU card, unsure of RAM/HDD etc;

- Power Computing (clone), unsure of model, G3 400MHz upgrade as well as the original CPU card, unsure of RAM/HDD etc;

- PowerMac 6100, complete including monitor cable;

- 2 x PowerBook 540c's, both sort of complete and both suffering busted hinges - hopefully some working HDDs and RAM upgrades in there somewhere;

- 14" Apple monitor with built in speakers, unsure if working yet;

- Misc other bits and pieces including an ADB numeric keypad (non-Apple).

Best bit was that it was all FREE!

I'll hopefully spend some time on the weekend working out what works and what doesn't.

Can't beat the price!

If you end up with an empty 5x0 after all this, hands up for the shell.

I would like to see a picture of your workshop, Bunsen. And a list of all projects, status, and success/neutral/failure rating for complete ones. Do you keep records of such things?

No worries - should be able to sort out a shell for you.

The only bit I "may" have problems with is the plastic hinge cover.

Anyway - gotta sort out the PB100 stash for Byrd before I move onto the 500 series :)

I'd like to see my workbench. It's buried under a metric flockload of carp at the moment. And a to-do list would be nice.

Life has a way of keeping me busy and away from the hackbench. But one can always prepare for a productive future.
