Power Macintosh 8500 Problem

My Power Macintosh 8500 was running perfectly until, yesterday, while I was using Photoshop 6, it froze. I shut it down by clicking the start up button, but when I started it up again, the moniter didn't show the picture. I double checked all of the plugs, and opened up the Power Mac to check if something was wrong on the inside. From what I could see, (I didn't unscrew anything) the computer was fine. I plugged everything back in, and started it up again. This time, not only did the moniter not display an image, but I didn't hear the start up chime either. It is running OS 9.2 and has a processor running at 120 MHz. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

^^When I upgraded my 9500 to a G3 I had a problem like this, turned out the CPU needed re-seating. May be worth a shot. If that does nothing then the usual rigmarole of re-seating the graphics card and checking for dodgy RAM applies. As an afterthought is the hard disc spinning up? It could be the PSU.
