Performa 5200 + 5260/120 refuse to boot from CD

What’s the dealio? 

I have a HFS formatted Performa 5200 Restore 7 and 7.5 CDs, burnt at slow speed. 

Neither computer wants to boot from it (four chimes downwards)

BUT they both see the CD when I’m in the system (desktop) and I can browse and run the restore app.

Holding C and cmd-alt-shift-delete: no dice.

Does the SCSI drive only boot from sub-650 MB CDs?

*edit* I guess I was a bit tired, 

I had the Performa 5200CD System Restore disc, when I should be using the Performa 5200/75 one....... Seems to work,

especially when I booted into the old IDE drives’ system and chose CD as the default boot device.
