Love it. WONDERFULLY over the inverted top! Always knew the void under the PCB in Newer's UltraDock case was designed for the vaporware PCMCIA dock. This SCSI interface cage is a hack I have very vague memories of seeing.

My twisted take on it:

The 1400's PCMCIA DaughterCage mounted (upside down?) in that void with its IR daughtercard pointing out the back seemed a no-brainer. Either orientation puts the PCMCIA cards fully within the UltraDock as intended with only a WiFi antenna goiter protruding from the UltraDock's multi-purposed plastics.

Been tracing that half the 1400's split I/O bus on and off for what seems like forever.

edit: Woot! Looks like I've accidentally run across the full content of Room of Duuo. I'd thought it had been lost to the ephemeral nature of the WWW.
