Hey folks,
Got an interesting issue and I wanted to ask the community here about it.
Back during the summer, I picked up a Performa 550 with some sound issues that I picked up from the original owner for 50 bucks.
It came with everything and worked fine outside the sound issue.
Sound comes out extremely quiet, even with the volume cranked thru head phones. I knew the board had some capacitor issues, etc. so I had it sent out to clean the board, and replace the caps. It came back with the issue still not resolved.
Is there anything else that can be done for this board?
I swapped it into a color classic I have and the issue still stands, so it is a logic board issue.
(Board before it was cleaned)
