Thanks to uniserver, I've acquired a Power Mac G3 Molar.
It's a beauty (some aren't enamored by it's looks but I love the look for an All-in-one). As I've stated in my "Wanted to Buy" post here, I work in higher education so it is of great interest to me since it was built for the education market.
This is the first Mac with OS 9.2 for me and it's a solid, quick machine. It has a beautiful screen for a CRT and came with a fair bit of originally loaded software that I'll explore as I get time. I had an old Zip disk that was thrown into a previous transaction that I didn't have a reader for and the Molar's internal Zip drive read it with no issues. It was filled with old games that looked like they were for much older Macs so that was interesting. I didn't hook it up to the Internet yet to see how that works but I have no doubt it will be fine. I imagine it will be much better than running a System 7 browser
True to it's specification, this thing is heavy! So much so that I felt sorry for UPS but remarkably as it sounds, I got it the next afternoon from Michigan to Ontario passing through Customs and all. I'm guessing nobody wanted to lift it over there so they let it sail by
While I am very impressed with the Molar, I was more impressed with a recapped Color Classic board that he included for another project. He mentioned it was the first board he recapped but if that's any indication of his work, he does great work! If he didn't tell me he recapped it, I would truly never have known.
Thanks uniserver and thank you CC_333 for your offer!
