My 2.4GHz mouse doesn't work on Mac OS 9.

I purchased UGREEN's 2.4GHz wireless mouse and I plugged the USB receiver into my Power Mac G4 and booted it up.
The mouse worked fine on the initial boot screen, during the few seconds when the Mac OS 9 logo appears, in Mac OS X, and even on the startup disk selection screen when holding down the Option key.
However, it doesn't respond at all once Mac OS 9 fully loads. When I checked in the system profiler, it shows up as 'usbcompositedevice.'
Does this mean there is no driver available for this mouse in Mac OS 9, or is there perhaps a driver or patch that can make it work?

USB Overdrive supports many mice that don't come with OS9 drivers. So far, there's only been one mouse I've tried with it that didn't work.
