Microsoft Word 1.0 For Macintosh Master Disk Image Needed!

*First, I hope this is okay to ask for here, if not then I have no issue with this thread being removed!

I have been pulling my hair out trying to find a good image for this. The main one out there floating around is packaged in .zip format and appears to be damaged, as NONE of the classic Mac disk imaging programs will see it as a valid image.

There is a dump of the files available too, but it won’t run and asks for the “master disk.”

So, does anyone have a know-good master 400k image of this? I really want to try it! To be clear, I need version 1.0, NOT 1.05!

I figured it out! I was actually able to tweak the file with ResEdit and DiskCopy now recognizes it as a valid image! I was then able to successfully make a bootable floppy from it!

The file “type” variable had somehow gotten erased (likely due to the file being zipped), so the Mac insisted that it was just a “document.” Changing the file type to a Diskcopy file with ResEdit allowed it to function properly as a disk image!
