Hi, I've been interested to upgrade my MDD after a failed overclock session... I know that my options are a 7457 oveclocked to 1.5 Ghz with L3 cache or a 7448 overclocked to 2 Ghz but with no L3. I'm asking here where I can find someone that does this kinda of things and some clarification.
Also my board need a bit of repair other than upgrading. My MDD come out of the factory with a peculiar dual 1.25 Ghz, on the processor it says XC7445A

But on the bottom ceramic part it says 7450. I can't find anything about this two CPUs, the board configuration indicates that it is a 1.42Ghz board with the LTC3732CG. I've tried to oveclock to 1.5 Ghz, raising the voltage to 1.800, it seemed fine for a while, then it started crashing and then not booting anymore. Checking the voltage it went from 1.800 to 0.800, and it's basically dead no matter what jumper I impose. I tried to clean it up and re doing the soldering job all over again a dozen of times but I ended up ripping some pad in the process, but there are vias nex to the ripped so maybe it's not fully dead yet. Now my questions.
Which one is better, the 7448 or the 7457?
I ask this because I know that the L3 cache is does a lot of the heavy lifting.
Is my board upgradable? And therfore, Where I can find someone that can Upgrade/Repair my board? I know dosdude1 does this kinda of things, but I don't know if he accepts this kinda of requests or how to contact him in a direct way. If my board isn't upgradable or repairable I'm also willing to buy one already upgraded but as I said, I'd like to keep mine out of the landfill.
