Macintosh Portable freeze after sleep

I recently got a SCSI2SD for my Portable and it works great—except the system freezes some times after sleep or if I leave it for a while. Is there a specific SCSI2SD setup for the Macintosh Portable that works better? I use the same configuration, with SCSI2SD v5.0b, that I use with my SE/30, IICX, and IICI. I Have no issues when booted from a FloppyEmu.

Has anyone had similar symptoms?

I have the same problem with a 550c.  I found this thread, but the fix listed (bootloader update) is no longer present on the codesrc website.  I'm posting an update there.
