Macintosh IIxc

I ended up finding a Macintosh IIxc with monitor and keyboard while cleaning out my father-in-law's house.  He passed away and was notorious for keeping things....a lot of things.  I have no idea if this computer is worth anything or if I should throw it away.  I am hoping someone can help me.  I would hate to throw it away if there is someone who would want it.  As I mentioned, I have no idea what the value nor if it is a sought out item.  Definitely could use some help or advice.  Also, I am not a salesperson.  My experience with computers is like most people: average.

Value is relative to condition & what upgrades & peripherals it may have.

Does the computer work? Open the top and take a couple of photos and post them.

The folks here can ID the contents.
