Macintosh IIsi with ethernet card and Apple portrait display

So I just bought a Mac IIsi, a machine I was not initially interested in, I bought it because it came with an Apple Portrait Display, which I always wanted. It came with keyboard, mouse and cable for the display.

This summer I plan to restore the IIsi and Portrait Display's original platinum color.

The display I have to say is really cool and after researching a little more on the IIsi, it seems like a fairly interesting machine in that it was the only one with this case design. It's slow but a pretty interesting little computer.

Best regards

Quick edit, I will try to find this post in the future when I start the restoration process in the spring/summer. It's always fun to get a new Mac and see it restored.

I did the same thing, picking up a MEH machine that I didn't really want. I wound up with a second one, two or three spare boards and having blast tricking it out. Still having a great time with hacking it!

The IIsi is the most ergonomically correct base available for the Portrait. Quadra 605 case is too low, Quadra 700 form factor is too high. It's nice on an LC475 (or its forbears) at a jaunty angle, but not quite as nice as a IIsi base, IMO.

Bookmark your threads, the search function is the worst we've had to date. Snitz wasn't this aggravating. The find content I started function is the only thing standing between search and eternal damnation. YMMV

I also owned a IIsi with a Portrait Display, and like you I only picked it up because it had the display with it.  Even though I ended up parting with it down the road (to make room for my G4 Cube), it really wasn't a bad little machine and that monitor is very crisp and pleasant to use/read from.

Portrait's about the only usable resolution that cute thing's unspeakably evil vampire video subsystem can produce. Not at all surprised to see you've found them bundled like that.
