Mac II // IIfx info

Does anyone know of a site that has a compilation of all information known about the Mac II and Mac IIfx models? I have searched a few times on Google but haven't found one yet. Specifically I'm trying to find out what expansion cards were available for these models (both from Apple and third parties like Radius).

Thanks

Have you tried www.lowendmac.com?

As for expansion cards, you need to think in terms of slots.

 1. Most common slot is NuBus — started with the Macintosh II, with the Power Macintosh 8100/80. Most Mac IIs have them.

There are graphics cards from companies like Radius, RasterOps, SuperMac (and so on), network cards from companies like Asanté, Dayna and others, SCSI cards from companies like ATTO and FWB, sound cards from companies like DigiDesign and so on.

 2. PDS-slots — many, if not all, Macs in the Mac II series have a slot to which can be added a special adapter and an accelerator card (DayStar, MicroMac etc.)

The IIfx PDS card was never really used in a major way. There is an unobtanium 040 accelerator upgrade that required a motherboard chip replacement to work. There is also a SCSI card for the IIfx PDS if I can remember right, but good luck finding one. That slot was an evolutionary dead end, unlike the rest of the II series with PDS slots.
