List of Mouser part numbers for Color Classic Caps?

IlikeTech

68000
I'm getting a CC, and it needs to be recapped.  What part numbers do I need.  There are so many options and I want ones that will actually fit, but I don't know much about choosing them.

Thanks

Actually, figuring out types and requisite part numbers for placing an order would be the problem. Someone listed the Mouser/Digikey part numbers for me a while back, but I can't find the thread and I'm back to square one..

Beginners (like myself) could use that extra bit of help, knowing exactly what's needed does not come from finding uni's rough lists of cap values and quantities.

I can understand that, but you will need to be more specific.

You can replace caps with the same SMD type as before, or you can go for tantalum or ceramic replacements.

references will be different in the end.

I used to have an exact list. But someone at mouser took it upon themselves and decided to merge my account with a company account (separate accounts, but not now) and all of it was lost. :-(

I found the IIsi cap parts joethezombie put together for me:

I recapped my IIsi using these parts from DigiKey

220uF 25V (you'll need 2)

47uF 20V (you'll need 11)

Now those 47uF caps are pricey, because they are solid polymer versions, so they'll never leak.  But they're expensive.  I like them because they look the same as the old ones, so my board keeps that stock look.  But we can cheap out by using tantalum like these ones.

Thanks again, joe.

I have bought all of my capacitors from Digikey.com. When buying, it takes a little extra time to pick capacitor value, brand, and size. They are definitely a reputable source as a large company with many customers. MacCaps.com has listings for many computers showing exactly what capacitors to purchase. In general, as long as the capacitance is the same between old and new capacitors, voltages that are higher than the original capacitors are fine. I would recommend sticking with surface mount tantalum capacitors in the A, B, and C sizes. (C is largest A is smallest) Anything smaller probably will not fit on the circuit board.

The linked Digikey cart below contains all of the surface-mount Color Classic Motherboard Capacitors along with a few spares for each part. These were perfect sizes and values for my Color Classic motherboard. As stated in my above quote, the size C capacitors are largest -they also seemed to fit best for many of the larger surface-mount capacitors. Sizes B and A are better for the smaller (and tiny) capacitors.

That link comes up with one line for qty 8 of 399-8356-1-ND. I assume there should be more.

Interested since I do have one of these guys to get capped one of these days.

The link for the DigiKey cart is slightly glitchy. (it makes a suggestion to buy more capacitors for a discounted price) If you click "View Options" under options, and then click add, the correct cart will be displayed. (it contains two other capacitor types)

Yup - that works. I can see the whole cart now.

Thanks!
