LC III+ scsi drive backup advice

Hey folks,

Getting back into working with my 68k machines after all these years and making a few repairs improvements.

I have ordered a bluescsi sd card solution to replace the ageing quantum drive that it came with.

I will be making a fresh install, but was wondering if it was possible to backup the original drive onto the bluescsi somehow? Never needed to do this before. Can multiple drives be chained on the internal scsi bus using a 3 connector cable, or am I looking at an external solution?

I also have an se, se/30 and a iicx with drives needing archived.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Cheers!

Yup, you can use a 3-connector cable internally, though you might need to be a bit careful about termination. The rules are the same as for external termination though, so it's not huge black magic.

I’ve never dealt with multiple internal SCSI devices. The rules are first and last get terminated. Would a terminated factory drive with ID0 at first connector next to logic board work with a terminated second drive ID1 placed after?

Or would it be preferable to not terminate a drive, place it first (next to logic board connector) and the terminated drive last ?
