Folks...
I am having a devil of a time with a G4 powerbook I bought on ebay. My drive took my Apple OS DVD just fine, read it just fine, and ejected it just fine.
I have a new stack of Sony CD-R (700MB) branded CDs. I inserted one and it never appeared on the desktop. After re booting several times, it finally spit out the blank CD. Just in case that one was defective, I tried another one. Same issue. Only this time, the powerbook will not see it, or spit it out. I have shut down the Mac, rebooted, but nothing will eject the CD. I can hear the CD (or the drive) spin up when I boot or re boot.
Do I have access to any keyboard commands to eject a DVD or a CD? How about a reboot key command?
My powerbook is missing the small hole I see in older macs that let me stick a paperclip in it, and manually eject a DVD or a CD.
Other this disassemble the powerbook, any suggestions on how I can eject the disk?
Thanks in advance.
