It looks like all the sources of the required LG display cable have long since dried up.
One guide suggested soldering to the pins on the replacement panel but doesn't mention how you're supposed to go about doing it without baking the panel, iBook, or both.
I don't need to do this now, but I do have a dead 12" iBook G4 taking up space and at some point in the future I might be tempted to give this a shot once I've forgotten how horrible the clamshells are to disassemble.
