Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
The floppy drive is auto inject with the hole for manual eject to the right side, so it would be different then a 6100 that has the manual inject floppy with the eject hole on the bottom.
Is there a separate floppy bezel or is it just part of the lid, I think that only the CDROM bezel comes off. Been a while since I worked on my 6100 machines.
Yep, one piece with an opening for the CD and blank bezels. I've hacked the one on the ugliest 6100 extant, bought for that very reason on eBay. There's a thread about it somewhere.
Forgot about the power button/floppy eject fiasco.
The 660av arrived yesterday. The motherboard needed a recap job which I just finished. Seems like the PS is dead (power light just flickers), stuck in a 6100 PS (same model) and it bongs.
Anybody know how to fix an ASTEC AA16990 Apple part number 614-0022?
The fuse is ok, and after vacuuming out the dust I don't see anything burnt, charred, bulging, or missing. No funky burnt smell either.
