Sweet deal! I heard you get those second gens to do videos as well, why I have no idea. But it would a fun project. Lucky you get the better interface.
short, fat. I know about the tall/skinny, but this isn't it. This is a refurb directly from apple and is a refurb of the low-end current gen. (4GB Silver Video/new Coverflow) iPod Nano
That's a 3rd gen then. The 1st gen was tall and skinny with a white or black plastic front and polished metal back. The 2nd gen was basically the same but re-cased in a single piece of aluminium which wraps around (iPod mini style) with a plastic top and bottom. Neither of those play videos, but they do have photo viewing capabilities. The 3rd (and current) generation is the short fat one with the bigger screen, aluminium front and polished metal back which plays videos.
Woohoo! got my iPod at 8:30 this morning (I had to drag my butt out of bed to go answer the door because I had to sign for it )
Anyways, It looks brand new. I figured it would have maybe some scratches or something, but it looks like it came right off the factory floor
I never knew iPod joy was like this. I figured iPods were a nuisance because of all the bad stuff I saw on forums, but I haven't had a single problem (though, that could change) *knocks on wood*. Anyways, it's very useful and I have all my music on it that I want on it. Gonna get ready to put a few videos on it too!
