iMac G5.

My iMac G5 fans are running high with no video after recap. Any ideas what might be causing this? I did remove the CPU to clean the thermal paste and apply new on it.

Uncertain as to no video, but you may have clipped or grounded a thermal sensor inside when you reassembled it. I did that once.

Oh any idea where that thermal sensor is?

There's a bunch...I am assuming you had to disconnect a few of them when removing the logic board from behind the monitor. I am not sure regarding that specific model. Best to check the Apple Service documents on it.
