Ice Technology iCube Speaker System

Howdy folks, I recently acquired this NOS "iCube Multimedia Super Woofer Speaker System." According to the box it was produced by a Silicon-Valley-based company named Ice Technology, copyright date is 1999. Obviously this product was designed to compliment the Blueberry iMac G3s produced between 1999-2000.

There appears to be no information whatsoever on the Internet about this item, or Ice Technology in general, so if you happen to know anything about it then I'd love to hear from you. There was also no manual or instruction booklet in the box when I got it, so it's unclear if one ever existed or not.

I've extensively documented it with lots of photos at: https://www.mac27.net/icube

I don't have any Blueberry iMacs but it's still a pretty close match to my Bondi.

They look fun, nice find, I'm guessing the Mac logos are not licensed and the same speakers were sold in beige in generic PC stores and markets. Lots of PC ATX cases shared the same colour swashes in the early '00s. In Australia these speakers were often sold under the name "Juster", "Prolink", "AudioExcel" off my head.

Yes, that seems likely - someone on TinkerDifferent was able to find this capture on the Internet Archive from Ice Technology's website in 2001, where the iCube was listed as their only product. So, it seems these were a classic example of low-volume rebadged product sold by a small company here in the States.

That'd look super sweet next to a PowerMac G3. Nice find! I was expecting the clear one with the subwoofer and ball speakers.

I hadn't even considered that this would match the G3 B&W well, so thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to get that set up sometime soon. :)
