I have more RAM than you do

Today in the mail I got a package from a relative containing computer parts. 3 tiny hard drives, a router, a couple computer hardware magazines, CD-ROM drive, multimeter, and the rest of the box was FILLED with RAM. I'd say there is more than 4 dozen 72-pin SIMMs, a few 30-pin SIMMs, and a couple DIMMs. I may get a picture if I so feel like it. Anybody that has managed to acquire more than this much RAM needs to get serious help.

What... You mean like this? (Sorry for the low iPhone-in-low-light quality, my computer-parts toolbox is stowed away during the home remodel; barely accessible.)

There's probably that much again in storage in another box. I need to dedicate two drawers in the toolbox to RAM now. Everything from 30-pin SIMMs to DDR2, and everything in between. (And I truly mean everything. RAMBUS, 64-pin IIfx RAM, you name it.)

I have a huge tub of RAM actually. No Rambus but tons of 256k/1mb/4m 30 pin, 4/8/16/32/64mb 72 pin, SDRAM of all kinds, IIfx RAM, 68K VRAM, PPC DIMMs and VRAM, etc.

They are just spares, my machines tend to be loaded.

been there and done that....heck, hard to believe, some years ago, the ram most of us have collected, etc was worth a small fortune..

Well, you could buy a new computer for less than the price I paid for RAM in my 1992/3 486. And that was a pitiful 16 MB. Granted, you could do a lot with 16 MB back then.
