Hypercard was an ultra-simple programming/presentation/hypertext (think www before there was one,) program.
Basically, you designed individual pages that could hold text and graphics (and, in later versions, sound and video, too,) and was linked to other pages in the "stack". It had its own script/programming language, so you could do various effects (like change a button on mouseover, run some small amount of code to do things like math...) Essentially, it was locally-hosted HTML plus Javascript back in the late '80s.
In high school, we used it to make presentations. At the school's yearly open house, we had Mac SE dual-floppy computers scattered around the school running a stack that had a clickable map of the school that linked to info on each class and teacher, as well as a schedule of events for the night.
I even made a Dungeons and Dragons character generator (for use by DMs,) with it. (Had to write my own random number generator.)

No. It is in a cardboard sleeve.
Most of the old Cyan games were HyperCard based. Spelunx was and I think Myst either was or was derived from HyperCard.
Apple gave it away with every Mac from 1987-1992. Did you by some chance acquire the Claris version from after Apple stopped giving away the greatest programming environment of all time?

It's surely already around on the web and places isn't it? I have some disks that say HyperCard but they look very old and are probably one of the oldest versions of it, I don't even know if they work or not.
