The place where I work has been using old Macs on the shop floor for time clock software for years. We just upgraded our MIS system and the old Macs have been replaced.
(1) Bondi blue iMac - don't know what revision it is yet, because someone cemented the screw into the bottom. Going to have to drill it out.
(1) Blueberry iMac
(1) B&W G3 tower
...and possibly (have to confirm this tomorrow), a G4 Cube 450mhz with 15" LCD acrylic display and speakers. This machine was used by a salesman who just retired, so it's pretty clean. He happily plugged along with Tiger and a gig of RAM with the stock 30gb hard drive.
The case looks to be in great shape -- no cracks around the case screws.
I work at a printing company. Anybody who's ever spent time in a press room knows that spray powder gets everywhere. There's at least half an inch of the stuff in the bottom of the iMacs, and the inside of the tower literally looks like a blizzard happened in there. Every single surface is covered in white spray powder. I will definitely take pics of it before I blow it all out. I'm amazed it still runs!
