Here Comes "Banger" II II

Veterans of the MLA know what I'm referring to when I mention an "ImageBanger". Never mind the thread title, which is a bad parody of a great TV show.

In any case, I went home to Pittsburgh and picked up the old ImageWriter II I had forgotten to take down in my move. Hooking it up to a Mac running BannerMania always produces some great results and with a shortage of good banners at the teacher store, I figured I'd make my own for my bulletin boards! I also made sure to pack two brand new color ribbons.

No, it's not a new conquest, as I got this printer two years ago, but it sort of feels like a conquest in of itself.

Now to see if I can dig up the Ethernet adapter I was looking for :-)

When I was doing my final years of schooling, we only had an Imagewriter II (connected to a Mac Plus). Most of my peers used to confirm "sleepless nights" getting study and assignments done the night before. I was pretty well organised, and this wouldn't have happened to me except for the &$@#% "high quality" print mode of the Imagewriter II - sometimes I was up until the wee hours getting stuff printed.

I can still hear the screeching and vividly recall that thing painfully printing off things line by line, pausing for several seconds, then going for it again. Definately a "banger" or true proportions :D
