HAAUG Swap Meet

I went to the Houston Area Apple Users Group Swap Meet on Saturday. I became a member and members get a free table so I set up a table.

I sold 3 iMacs and an LC 580 and a bunch of accessories and made about $260. I got there at 9:30 and it started at 9 so I might have missed some people but oh well.

I picked up the January, February, and March 1985 issues of Macworld for $5 each. He had the premier issue but he wanted $55 which was too high for me. These issues are cool enough!

I also got a stack of 6 older Mac related books for $3, and I traded a couple of new PRAM batteries for some internal ZIP drives.

I took an older iMac in as a trade in for one of the iMacs.

I was the only guy there who was selling beige Macs or even Apple II stuff. I had a Platinum IIe and a Color Classic and an LC 580, a PowerMac 5xxx and a G3 AIO. Unfortunately only the LC 580 sold. I also brought several iMacs with OS X and those went like hotcakes. The next oldest thing anyone was selling in terms of hardware would have been Blue & White G3s. I could not fit all of the Macs on the table so some were on the floor and stuff, I would say I had a pretty popular table though.

Overall it was really cool though. I'm definitely selling at the next swap meet (it's only bi-annual though. I wish it were more often) and I'm going to start going to the user group meetings now that I am a member.
