USB 2 is a newer revision of the USB standard. Where USB 1 (built into the Lombard) will transfer data at 11mbps USB 2 transfers data at 480mbps. It requires the processor to do more work than FireWire, but it's still loads faster than the built-in USB controller.I have never heard of a USB2 PC Card What does that actualy do?
why do even that ?Actually, if its a 500, and reads a gig of RAM, it sounds like its a Pismo. Look under the display...does it say "Macintosh PowerBook G3" or just "PowerBook"? If it says, "Macintosh PowerBook G3", then its a Lombard. If it just says "PowerBook, its a Pismo.
