file recognition on System 7.6.1

Hi All,

I recently got a newton Emate 300 in very good condition from forum member Joshc. It works brilliantly but I have one problem with it. The recognition of .pkg files on my Quadra 700 who are downloaded from the internet. If the file is archived when downloaded my quadra immediately recognizes it as a Newton file. If it is downloaded as a .pkg he doesn't know what to do with it and can't recongize it from NCU. I tried to set the format in the PC exchange control panel but without much luck.

Can anybody help?

Is there a way for wifi on the emate?

I use a Lucent WaveLan Silver pcmcia card in my Newts. You need to install the drivers, etc., but it is easily done.
