Downgrading a 6100 with a Centris 040 Board?

If that is a 610 board (they mention it as being a 605 board as well...it looks like a 610 board though it might be a good idea to ask them) then it will definitely work, though you may need a new bottom case, as some of the rear connectors between the two are different - for example, the Centris board will have a DB-15 video connector, the 6100 has a HDI-45.

Yeah, I was looking at the 6100s recently, what's really nice about them is that there isn't any sheet steel behind the MLB compartment, just RFI shielding and plastic . . .

. . . no impediments there for all kinds of transplanting. Convering that stupid connector opening to "standard" DA-15 entails just a couple of minutes with a rattail file . . .

. . . plenty of room there for an ATX I/O plate. }:)

Yes the rear plate is removable, so i just removed the rear plate. :-) This is a Centris 610, just got it.

Now that i have overclocked the 6100 to 90mhz, its so much more fun to use. i might just keep it together.

I am thinking I'm going to make a wood case for this centris board.

or ask someone who is good with wood to kindly make one for me, i would pay for or trade services.

i have a pile of ATX PSU's in the garage, I will just make my own psu for it.
