Hey guys, just discovered this forum a few days ago and I'm already loving it. Im hoping that you could help me with a problem I am having with my g3's. Ok here goes... I am currently running os x 10.4.11 tiger on an imac g3 400mhz 768mb ram. This mac is connected to my wpa2 network through its internal airport card. The internet on this works perfectly. I am also running a Pismo G3 400 mhz 1gb of ram connected to my external monitor. This machine is running OS 9.2.2. Since OS 9 cannot support wpa internet connections, I decided to share my wireless internet from my imac g3 to my pismo via an ethernet cable. I set my internet sharing in tiger to share from airport to ethernet. Then I set my Pismo to connect via ethernet in the TCP/IP Control Panel. I have also tried appletalk on and off (not sure if this matters...). A few weeks ago when I did this for the first time, the connection was not working at first. For some reason, my Pismo could not receive the ethernet connection properly. But after messing around with some control panels on the pismo for a half and hour, I somehow stumbled onto an option that made my internet work. I could finally share the internet from my imac to my pismo. The only problem is, three weeks later, I have no idea what I changed in order to make this happen (The option changed back to default probably because of a dead pram battery). Im wondering if any of you have had previous experience sharing internet from an os x to an os 9 machine and what I should try in order to fix this problem. Thanks for reading and for any help you can give.
P.S. I know the option that I changed a few weeks back was in OS 9, it was not on the tiger machine.
