Compact Mac Video to DVI LCD?

Could an adapter like this be used to convert a TTL level signal from the Compact Macs to a DVI LCD?

I don't know any LCDs that support less than 640x480 resolution so I would imagine there would be a black border around the 512x342 Compact Mac output?

Also, this adapter seems to work bi-directionally. Would it therefore be possible to send a TTL signal INTO a compact Mac's analogue board?

It is specifically meant to convert the older "LVDS" digital flat panel display standard into the newer DVI standard. It just so happens that LVDS used TTL signaling. Just because it uses the same type of signaling doesn't mean it uses compatible signaling.

Of course, it is entirely possible that you could use this, in combination with another more simple board, to extract a compact Mac-compatible signal...

But we'd need someone with more experience playing around with compact Mac TTL signals, who can also find detailed technical information on LVDS, to let us know for sure.
