Colour Classic Floppy Drive Eject Problem

D3lky

6502
During a recent install the floppy drive eject stopped working. The drive still works accepting and reading disks and I can eject by using the manual pin hole release.

1. Is this common? I heard it is.

2. With a rudimentary comfortability with performing surgery on such machines are their any clues on the repair?

Thanks heaps! :)

Pretty common on the 800k model, not so on yours, but eject motor can be faulty, or just a plastic gear on the inside assembly.

Better find another one, you can have a LC for really cheap i think, remove the floppy drive and some parts are you are ok.

You can also find the gear (3D printed) but not cheap.

I have an LC 575 in parts here. Also a 7300/180. Are these drives all the same? I could swap that out easily enough.
